The made in India navigation app is ranked in both the Indian Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The Mappls MapmyIndia app from the Indian digital mapping business MapmyIndia has been placed first in the navigation and maps category on both the Google Play Store and the Apple iOS App Store. Additionally, it was among the top 15 free applications overall in all categories on Google Play Store and even placed first among all free apps overall in all categories on the Apple App Store.
Interestingly, MapmyIndia noted that Google Maps, one of the most widely used and popular navigation apps of all, was only ranked No. 7 on the Apple iOS and didn’t appear in the top 100 in the Google Play Store.
The Mappls app offers features including 3D junction views, notifications for approaching speed traps, steep bends, and potholes, as well as trip toll and fuel cost predictions. These features are exclusive to India and are not offered by Google Maps or Apple Maps, its rivals.
The Mappls app is available for iOS, Android, and the web (mappls.com), as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in vehicles.
